The Faribault Area Airfest and Balloon Rally is a 23-year tradition in Southern Minnesota. Held September 14 and 15, 2007, at the Faribault Municipal Airport, it draws balloonists and aeronautic enthusiasts from across the upper Midwest.
The Air show is affordable, quality family entertainment featuring the beauty, color and imagination of hot air balloons along with other activities that inspire the Faribault community and surrounding area to draw together for a weekend of fun and excitement.
Enjoy three scheduled balloon launches, a stunt kite performance and various other airplane displays. The 2007 Featured Event will be two aerobatic plane performances. Also offered is a Speaker’s Forum in the main airport hangar and a Kid’s Corner activities area.
